move forward into 2009 with courage and enthusiasm

Christmas is over and in a few days' time, we are into a new year. It's a new era, a new beginning for many of us, a new set of goals, new dreams, new ambitions, new resolutions...etc.

I believe many are looking forward to the new year though we are armed with much caution with the current bleak economic outlook. But whatever the papers, the financial magazines, the experts or the professionals are saying about what will happen in 2009, let's move forward with courage, enthusiasm, optimism, joy and hope.

If 2008 has not turned out the way you like it to be, don't be disheartened. Life is about learning and renewing, keep counting your blessings and smile through the hard and good times, tough and happy moments. Put the past behind you and be renewed for a greater year ahead.

Let us complain less

If you think you are unhappy

If you think you are unhappy, look at them:

If you think your salary is low, how about her?

If you think you don't have many friends...

When you feel like giving up, think of this man

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If you complain about your transport system, how about them?

If your society is unfair to you, how about her?

Enjoy life how it is and as it comes.

Things are worse for others and is a lot better for us.

There are many things in your life that will catch your eye but only a few will catch your heart....pursue those..

letting go of ego

As a seminar organizer, we are constantly scouting for new programs and workshops on niche topics for our corporate clients. Every year, we see new training providers and new seminars being launched for both the corporate talent development and self motivational individuals. Lately, I heard about The Sedona Method and how The Sedona Method is the bridge between The Secret and the Law of Attraction. It seems like an interesting philosophy cos it's referring to letting go of the ego and pain body - something that many of us struggle with in our lives from birth. This was a theory founded by the late Lester Levenson who extended his life for 42 years even though the doctors gave him a short time period to live. Lester through his experiment found out that by releasing his non-love feelings, his health was transformed which led to renewed health, perfect health and perfect peace of mind.

As a seminar organizer, I found this very interesting as I thought about how this philosophy and theory could help many people to succeed in their personal, social, family and corporate lives. In the world of stress and chaos, people are searching for answers to calm their souls, soothe their minds and cope with the pain and struggles of life. Perhaps, with the Sedona Method, they can learn to achieve happiness as they learn about letting go.

a man without limbs

My husband came back on Sunday night sharing with me about a very inspiring and heart warming true testimony of how this man - Nick Vujicic - has succeeded in his life without any limbs. Yes, did you hear me - he has NO LIMBS! But do you know that he is now a millionaire and traveling all over the world to touch lives, inspire and motivate those 'normal' individuals like you and me. He has purposed in his heart to live like a NORMAL person - HOW? You ask, watch to find out!

Please spare few minutes to watch this video and I promise you that you will STOP feeling sorry for yourself when things don't turn out your way.

secrets to being happy

Almost everyone of ua have heard the hit single 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of being happy to everyone. Bobby Mcferiin's simple message surely made a lot of people by telling them not to worry.

Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along well with.

check out this inspirational blog

Just as I am thinking of ways to spruce up my home office, I came across some great ideas at the inspirational blog of Karl Moore who shares about his love for his office. Well, this got me thinking... do I love working in my home office? Sometimes, we can get so used to the same table arrangements, the same wall colour, the mundane of work flow that we can lose the passion and love for our work space.

Well, Karl has some simple and wonderful suggestions in his post, 'I love my office' to inspire and motivate you to regain that passion again. Among all his ideas, I am reminded of how pictures of inspirational quotes can help me stay focused. Good ventilation is equally important to circulate air in the room and promote good health.

realms of wealth

Do you want to be wealthy? Or do you prefer to be healthy? What about having the best of both of being wealthy and healthy.... and wise, if you can? My husband has a wide collection of books in his personal library on all sorts of topics - self help, motivational, marketing, financial, sales, business, entrepreneurship...etc. So tell him about Anthony Robbins or Napoleon Hill, and he will start a conversation very naturally.

Lately, he's been reading alot more eBooks and physical ones and of course, his library is growing fast. I am thinking that he may be interested to check out Realm of Wealth: The 9 Cycles of Prosperity, a self-help book that focuses on teaching people how to live life in abundance and be prosperous in wealth, health and every other areas of your lives. While trying to find out more about the book, I hop over to the 9 Cycles Prosperity Site and read more about what this book is really all about.

I gather that the book teaches on mindset shift and how one person can achieve anything just by applying the proven strategies and concepts expounded by the author. The one that probably attracts most readers will be the ability to 'attract and accumulate' riches and wealth. As this book is also available in Amazon, buying it online from the website comes with bonuses of up to $411 in value.

A gesture of love

Sometimes we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring. The truth is all of these have the potential of turning a life around.

A little act of love doesn' t have to be cost you anything. A hand-written note of 'I love you', 'Thank you', 'I appreciate you' can mean the world to the person you care about or love.

Little things mean so much and it goes a long way.
