in love with Melbourne city

Of all the Australian cities, the ones that left me much memories are Perth and Melbourne. Perth - because I studied there and Melbourne - the first Australian city I visited in 1994. Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city with diverse cultures, characteristics, sights and attractions. I have been there 5-6 times and never get sick of this beautiful city. The only problem I have is the extreme weathers within a day. Basically, one can experience 4 seasons in a day so you do need to be prepared for both extremes.

I love strolling along St Kilda's beach and its row of lifestyle shops, restaurants, unique retail stores and most of all, enjoying fish and chips by the beach. The Sunday flea market is one of my favourite with lots of local handmade stuff from soaps to paintings to recycled items.

The Queen Victoria market is the most popular tourists' hangout though I must prefer the fresh food section than the souvenir sheds. Whatever it is, just don't miss out on the Bratwurst Sandwich shop when you are there - you won't miss it cos it's one of those shops that has a long queue!

Finding cheap Melbourne hotels is a piece of cake once you do your research. There are lots of Melbourne accommodation ranging from 2 - 5 stars, and you need to decide on your budget and preference before doing your search. My recommendation for anyone who hasn't been to Melbourne is to find Melbourne hotels that are situated in the city. That way, you can move about by foot and tram as self-driving in the city is expensive and congested. With all the malls, retail stores and dining restaurants in the city, moving around in Melbourne is so convenient and easy. When it comes to shopping in Melbourne, you are spoilt for choices - David Jones, RM Williams, Laura Ashley, Country Road, Sportsgirl, Canterbury... you better go prepared with some extra credit in your credit cards!

I love the place too. My sisters have been asking me to settle down there for quite some time now.
