It feels good to pamper my boy. I know DH won't be happy to hear this but all mommies out there know what I mean! We are not that sort of parents who adorn our boy with expensive toys. In fact, we hardly buy toys for him. Most of those toy cars and blocks are either gifts or bought during sale and they aren't expensive and extravagant ones either. I do buy lots of educational stuff for him - books, flash cards and VCDs and I'm glad Clayton enjoys them.
Today, I insisted that we bought him a set of Chinese books series and a set of IQ games. The bill came up to RM800 and you should see DH's eyes rolling! But I told him these would be Clayton's birthday gift and he agreed that those were good things to have.
What about you? Do you lavish your children with expensive toys?

LOL. I know. Clayton loves the kitchen stuff too! He enjoys the noise!
I have no child yet, but do have 5 year old niece which is lot like a daughter to me. Everytime we go to malls, she always choose this, point that different toys and without knowing the price. What I usually do is that, I bought her only one toy, a not so expensive not so cheap one. When she started to ask for more, that's the time I make her understand and explain to her. I don't want to spoil her. ^_^
