Seven years ago, we attended my brother-in-law's convocation and took the opportunity to tour around San Francisco for a short time. My brother in law is a marathon runner and will participate in numerous runs just for the fun of it. Being a bachelor, this is how he spends his leisure and recreation moments. While we were there visiting, he took us to a marathon event cum carnival, together with our cousins. That was an eye opener for us as we got a chance to experience the locals and participate in some carnival activities. I did notice that the organizer was using metal buildings for the activity rooms, which were spacious, functional and most importantly, they were easy to set up.
Later on, I was told that metal buildings were popular for both commercial and residential use due to the durability and price factors. Unlike wood frame buildings, they were not prone to termites attack or weather damage.
