I'm still contemplating if I should book a night at the Halekulani during our last night in Waikiki. After reading so many travel guides, all travel editors rave about the beauty, luxury and superb service in this exclusive hotel. Whenever I visit the official website, I'll be tempted to place my booking but I don't know if it's worth spending $500 for a night's stay - know what I mean? I know that if I ask DH about this, he'll throw the idea out of the window so I'm still considering secretly since I'm the organizer for this vacation... let me sleep over this for a few more weeks before coming to a decision.

Honestly, if it's always been your dream you might just want to treat yourself.
One of my travel goals is to stay 2 nights at the Burg Al Arab, which is going to be a little painful when I have to front the bill.
In the long run it's all about experiences - and that's how I justify it. You can either spend that money on something you may use a few times or have an amazing memory. I always opt for the memory.
