Outsourcing

I believe in the value of my time... which means focusing on what I'm good at and outsourcing what I have no skills or passion for! In our business, DH takes care of the strategy bit and I'll focus on the marketing and design. But when it comes to accounting, neither of us has the skills to get it right.

Now that we have a couple of employees, we need to find a qualified person to take care of payroll matters. Some companies charge exorbitant rates for bookkeeping and accounting work so it's important to talk to a few and get a quotation first before deciding on who to engage. When making a choice, find out how the company works and look for one that doesn't require you to sign a long term contract. As always, select one that has proven track records and understands small businesses.

If you need more help, have a look at the services offered at Accounting Paradise and the discount on Quickbooks.
