a humble sweet potato makes a great snack
Sometimes a quick snack or lunch for me is a steamed sweet potato. This humble spud is stuffed with anthocyanin, a flavanoid which helps fight heart disease. These days, it is available in many varieties - red skinned ones, orange skin and just pale beige ones. For steaming, I prefer the red skinned ones and would use the orange and yellow ones for boiling as a sweet dessert. Try not to add any sugar and boil with some honey dates. It is healthier and taste yummy too.
