I learned something this morning after an argument that sparked from a word of criticism. That is, when you have nothing positive or uplifting to say to anyone, remain silent. The tongue is a powerful weapon, the Bible says. It is powerful enough to build and lift up broken spirits but has equivalent power to tear someone down. Always learn to listen and refrain from making judgments based on outward observation. Criticism blocks and stops all constructive conversation and brings a strong defense in anyone.
Think before you speak. Let your words be seasoned with grace and salt, peace and love.
