Many friends have been asking me which Australian state we will be moving to. Last year, we took a trip to Perth Western Australia and was shocked at the real estate prices. Houses bought 5 years ago had doubled in price and this was all due to the booming mining industry in the last few years.
For that reason, we are having second thoughts about moving to Perth... it looks like Brisbane may be the next choice unless there is a reason to look elsewhere. For now, our options remain open...

I have only been to Melbourne once but if I do decide to migrate to Australia, that's the place I would like to go. Nice parks, good ethnic mix and quite developed. However, I think the property prices are a bit high.
Sesame: Ya.. we would in few years' time. I told DH it's either back to Sin or down under. I'm feeling better - thanks for your concern.
Adam: We do like Melbourne too except the weather!! it's the most freaking compared to all aussie states. You can experience 4 seasons in a day! infact property in Mel has stabilized now compared to Perth and Sydney.
