MOving with Times

Since the start of term 2 in the school, I have been volunteering more and it's nice to be a help in small ways like these. Though it isn't significant, I find pleasure in helping out in Clayton's class and it's also good for me to get to know the school teaching system.

Education today is so different compared to my time and kids are learning so differently. Yesterday afternoon, I was in the class to help with the scrapbooks and the kids were watching a youtube video on big screen. They were learning about natural disasters and it became a teaching point for the teacher. That was a new way to learn.

Even when it comes to playing, kids learn differently too. They are more familiar with new psp games than we adults are and can tell you alot more things! We are still delaying our purchase of the Wii and are waiting for the opportune time to buy it.

I can't imagine how learning will be like in ten years' time.... it's mind boggling for me and all I know is that, we have to move with the times or we become obsolete!

online education makes possible with technology

Whether you like it or not, technology has changed many things. These things, I no longer book a family travel accommodation via a phone call or fax. Everything is done online. It's that easy and convenient. And if there is any changes in your family traveling itinerary, cancellation can be done easily via the internet too.

Education is no different. Online university is becoming well accepted by the public and members of the academic. With online education, those who live far or cannot afford to travel to the respective countries can opt for an online university degree. With more subjects being added, people can choose their disciplines and subjects and receive instruction, tutorials, guidance and counselling online.

a look at education

As much as I believe greatly in education and to upgrade oneself, I do not think that it is a 'must' to succeed in life with a high education. Since I'm not one of those who is good with the academics, I chose to study graphic design in a local art college.

With the advancement and help of technology, many Universities offer online online degree and bachelor degree studies such as Capella University, which is also a fully online university. With so many courses and programs available in the education world, it is not easy to make a decision. For that reason, at Capella, you can attend a free one-week seminar before deciding what is suitable for you. But whatever you decide to do, commitment and dedication are the ingredients to succeed in all areas of life including education.

online learning becoming popular

It was a lovely surprise to meet my good friends, who were back from Bangkok for a short trip. Liz had been away in Bangkok for more than a year after her husband got posted to take over a department in a foreign bank. Being someone who couldn't sit around and do nothing, she took up a distance learning course to keep her mind active. I thought that was a good idea.

Distance learning or online learning has become very popular over the last few years due to its sheer convenience and flexibility for those who need the extra freedom and versatility. This also explains why capella university is growing in its student database with the online degree programs. Courses conducted in Capella include business, information technology, education, human services, public health, public safety, and psychology and the online Uni currently has more than 20,000 students from all 50 states and 56 countries, and still growing.

your online library of books and journals

If only the internet technology was that advanced ten years ago, I would have sailed through my research thesis smoothly. Looking back, I was having a hard time locating research and books of my subject topic and as a result of that, I had to order some of those hard-to-find books from States, which cost me alot of money.

When I learn about Questia, an online library for all academic books and journals, I am impressed with the 70,000 digital books and 1.7 million articles in its collection. For those who frequently conduct research in their field of study, you have just found a one-stop resource for your academic material. Whatever subjects you are searching for - arts and architecture, economics and business, literature, law, psychology, religion or science and technology, the smart search features will present you with a list of digital books and articles relevant to your search topic. What's unique about Questia is that subscribers can pen down notes on the digital book or article, highlight important quotes or passages and use the text in any style they want. Another cool thing is, this digital library is available 24/7 and never closes a day, unlike your local or school library. This facilitates all your research activities any time you want, with no rush, no stress except complete convenience. Your research can be done anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.

In case you think this is only a research library for the academics, take heart. Questia has over 5,000 FREE books available for all avid readers. You may also want to take advantage of the free trial to a set of books in any of these four subjects: Psychology, Ethics, Leadership, or Early American History.

It's hard to find an area that Questia needs to work on as everything is well thought of, right to filing your online notes to putting together a bibliography. Perhaps Questia can include more subscription options for users. Currently, it offers $19.95 for a monthly subscription and a $99.95 for a yearly one. If possible, discounts can be offered to students and a loyalty program can be introduced for subscribers who returned after a short break.

I have no doubt that Questia is the most comprehensive online library for all researchers, academicians and students of this modern internet age.

your online education portal

It takes courage to take the plunge and pursue continuing education to get ahead in the job field. But sometimes, you cannot afford to take the time off from your work and family obligations to pursue your continuing education dreams. Classes at night are usually several hours long and you cannot take classes during the day. In fact, I have great admiration for those who take part-time courses while holding a full time job in the day. But online education makes it possible for those who want a balance of both. And with the power of the internet, you can find colleges and universities online at the click of a button. If you are looking for online degrees and other education courses, directoryofschools.com is the online education portal that provides a complete listing of all the universities and colleges. Whether it's degree in business or a certificate in technology, the online portal provides all the information and resources you need in your pursuit of continuing education.

online education

I used to admire friends whose parents can afford to send them overseas for further studies. For me, I could only choose a one year postgraduate as I was self-supporting during my time in Perth. If only there was internet and online degree programs in those days, I would have save some money in overseas lodging and tutoring costs. Though it was an experience of a lifetime, one that I won't forget, ever.

These days, college degree online is widely available and meeting the demand for courses in business, IT, communication courses, psychology and other disciplines is the fully online Capella University.
