monovision lasik

Sounds like a procedure that will interest my beloved who started wearing reading glasses last year, much to his dismay. For many years, DH has been thinking about lasik but up til today, he still has alot of reservations after his brother had a bad encounter with an irresponsible eye surgeon 2 years ago.

Monovision Lasik, as explained in the article, is well recommended for people with reading glasses or contact lenses - DH fits in both. Monovision is apparently able to correct presbyopia and thus, eliminates the use of reading glasses. As people reach middle age, it is common to be diagnosed with this condition and sometimes, it can cause much inconvenience if you are an active individual, like my DH, or if you are short-sighted. I'm certainly going to point DH to the article and have him find out more about monovision lasik. Who knows, he may seriously consider this now, since he's sick of not being able to read food menus whenever we are out for dinner, and he's still too embarrassed to be seen in his reading glasses.

lead management

This year, we did lots of new things for our upcoming event with Father of Guerrilla Marketing. One of which is to conduct email campaigns with marketing firm is responsible for sending our event information to members in its database.

While having a discussion with the company, we learnt about how lucrative lead generating companies can be these days. More and more companies are looking for leads and databases to promote their products and services and one of the options is to seek these companies with big list of leads. But it is equally crucial that these companies manage their leads well by having a reliable software as these leads, in business sense, mean assets to the company.

Besides generating leads, the company we work with also sell leads to lots of companies in retail, products and services, technology, health, and many other industries. Well, we know how valuable leads can be but for the first time, we are asked if we are keen to buy leads for our campaigns.

I guess one of the software that provides all the features for CRM and lead management for this business is the one available at AIMpromote. With its Lead Management CRM Software, these marketing companies can run and manage their leads conveniently on one screen in one software. This increases productivity for companies and enables them to sell more leads with the automated feature.

last day of detox

Know what? Today is my last day of my detox - woohoo! I did it!

Tell ya, I wasn't having the best days of my life last few days. I lost my voice since Sunday and still croaking now. I have been coughing badly with alot of phlegm, had fever chills for two days...etc. Well, I'm not saying these things to put you off detox but this is just how 'sick' my body is.

The interesting thing is I haven't been eating much during this time and I don't feel weak or tired. In fact, I'm more energized and alert - this is the upside of detox! If you don't have respiratory ailments like I do, it may not be that bad, really. Anyways, I have every good reason to break a nice fast tomorrow .... we are having a business meeting in Mandarin Oriental... that is definitely a great way to reward myself - lol.

I did it!!

more workshops on the way...

I am so glad that we have finally broken even for our July seminar, after much anxieties, waiting and prayers. What is exciting is we are organizing 3 more workshops after July and it is always great to look forward to new projects. One of them is an internet marketing workshop targeting the corporates and it is also the first time we are doing this.

We are contemplating if we should rent a training room with computers but it isn't easy finding a place equipped with at least 30 -35 computers. Since this is a hands on and practical workshop, having computers for the participants is crucial to maximize their learning experience. One of the solutions will be to consider computer rental with providers like CRE Rentals who specializes in renting computers, labtops, AV equipment, Mac Pro rental and MacBook Pro rental. The nice thing about renting computers is that the technical person will deliver the equipment and ensure that the systems are in good working order, have everything properly set-up before leaving the venue. The final alternative is to request that all participants bring them a labtop to the training.

Having said that, working with CRE Rentals would mean convenience for the participants and the assurance that the computers are reliable and in good working order.

realms of wealth

Do you want to be wealthy? Or do you prefer to be healthy? What about having the best of both of being wealthy and healthy.... and wise, if you can? My husband has a wide collection of books in his personal library on all sorts of topics - self help, motivational, marketing, financial, sales, business, entrepreneurship...etc. So tell him about Anthony Robbins or Napoleon Hill, and he will start a conversation very naturally.

Lately, he's been reading alot more eBooks and physical ones and of course, his library is growing fast. I am thinking that he may be interested to check out Realm of Wealth: The 9 Cycles of Prosperity, a self-help book that focuses on teaching people how to live life in abundance and be prosperous in wealth, health and every other areas of your lives. While trying to find out more about the book, I hop over to the 9 Cycles Prosperity Site and read more about what this book is really all about.

I gather that the book teaches on mindset shift and how one person can achieve anything just by applying the proven strategies and concepts expounded by the author. The one that probably attracts most readers will be the ability to 'attract and accumulate' riches and wealth. As this book is also available in Amazon, buying it online from the website comes with bonuses of up to $411 in value.

searching for baby names?

This baby name site brings me memories. About 3 years ago, I was excited about picking a name for my baby boy I was expecting. I bought books, searched the Net, spent hours and hours thinking, looking and searching. Baby Names 1000 is an interesting site that allows all parents to be to search for baby names in a number of options - find new baby names, find names by letters, by gender or just simply checking on top baby names in the year you specify. The search tools are versatile and easy to use. My only comment would be a more prominent and attraction header as the current one has an illustration that appears a little weak and lost.

Wordless Wednesday - Batman

Clayton came home with 2 birthday gift packs last week. One of them was full of quality chocolaty goodies and one of them was my fave but I put them back as I was in the midst of my detox :(

It was good that he didn't asked for any of the chocolates cos he didn't know they were chocolates - lol. The only thing that fascinated him were the party toys and after much struggle, he allowed me to put this on for him... it didn't last more than 5 seconds but I caught it fast on camera!

seeking for love

My DH keeps me abreast with current and social news as he knows that I hardly have time to read anything else other than the local newspapers, blogs and emails. The other day he mentioned me that many men from US, Canada, Australia and other parts of the world are seeking russian girls as life partners. Besides being attracted to their good looks, they are chosen for their feminity, maturity and individuality. That's why online dating sites like Lovers Planet is becoming a popular stop for men looking for single Russian companions or wives and similarly, it's a place where Russian girls find their potential husbands or partners. Well, I must say these Russian girls have such great features that I almost think they are fashion models!

updates on Shearwey

You know, the story about the 4 year old sweet little girl who got killed. I guessed I was wrong. Earlier on, I wrote that I felt sorry for the mum but yesterday's papers shocked me with the news that the mum was connected to the little girl's murder. Now, I was wondering how merciless could a mum be and how could she do such a thing to her little girl - it was hard to accept.

She and her jobless boyfriend are both under arrest for investigation while the family mourned for Ying Ying's demise. One thing I know, she is the hands of the loving Father above.

all scales

I'm one of those who hop on the weighing scale every now and then so it annoys me if the scale is not accurate or not functioning properly. I spotted a friend's stylish matte-silver digital scale once and had been looking for something as cool as that.

So the discover of this site that specializes in digital scales comes in handy. There are all kinds of digital scales available - nutritional ones, bathrooms ones, pocket and portable ones, food scales, fish scales, you name it, they have it. Maybe it will be a good stop for me to shop for one I desire.

summary of my day

I haven't had time to blog today. DH was out for an exhibition and I needed to send Clayton to Mandarin class, fix breakfast, lunch, send him to school in the afternoon... then carry on my detox, do my juicing... and I wasn't feeling my best. Coping with an active 3 yo was surely not that fun when I was all alone and feeling half sick.

My healing reactions still persist and I almost thought I was going to pass out in the late afternoon. Thank God I was fine and it looked like the healing reactions were coming to an end. This detox process isn't just about cleansing my body, it's about a time of spiritual healing for me. My friend from Singapore said a prayer with me via MSN and that was so meaningful to me... thanks, Winston.

Well, I was glad DH came home early and took over disciplining Clayton though I was left to deal with his crankiness half the time. He was at that age where everything got to be 'mama' and would cry sadly if his requests were granted. I had work to finish for our July seminar and finally, they were completed.

Finally, I can now sit down and finish off the summary of my day - whew!

on colloidal silver: do you believe in alternative medicine?

Do you believe in alternative medicine or natural health? For many years now, I have been a believer in alternative health issues and sometimes, I get sneers by my friends for being a health freak. Then, the irony is my health is not that great afterall. I suppose that is where genetic come into play.

For instance, whenever I'm down with an ailment, I will look for natural therapies or alternative health remedies instead of running straight to the doctor or pharmacy. You may have remembered my post on colloidal silver which has been well accepted by members of natural health as an alternative to conventional antibiotic. The difference is that conventional antibiotics kill both good and bad bacteria but colloidal silver does not interfere with intestinal floral.

Reading through some of posts in the colloidal silver blog, it reminds me of how the people of old had used silver as a protector for their food and produce. Those were the days where there was no invention of antibiotics and our forefathers had understood and practised what they knew about natural protection from diseases and sicknesses.

If you like to know more about colloidal silver, read more about it at the blog at http://www.colloidal-silver-blog.com/

blog on alcoholism

Take a look around you. Do you know of anyone who gets violent and start assaulting people when drunk? Chances is the person may be suffering from alcoholism or alcohol abuse.

Growing up as a little girl, this scenario didn't come new to me. Unfortunately, I grew up with a dad who was alcoholic and that affected our family relationships and wellbeing as a whole. There were countless occasions of dad returning home drunk, uttering nonsense, going haywire with his behaviour as he lost control of himself, physically and mentally.

Well, I only wish I was old enough to understand what alcoholism or alcohol abuse was all about earlier. Reading through a blog focusing on Alcohol Rehab, testimonies and stories of individuals share experiences of this social problem and how some had found help through alcohol treatment centers or rehabs. It was understood that alcoholism was not the end of road and when help was sought, this addiction problem could be addressed and the sufferer could have a normal life again.

for latinas and latinos

Anyone loves spanish music, latino culture, hispanic women, latin men... believe it or not, I'm only to tell you about another dedicated latina dating site and this time, it is for latina singles, latin girls, latina models, latino guys... etc.

I always think latin babes are beautiful and sexy especially with their olive skin and slender figures. I can only see more advantages with niche dating sites as people tend to know what to expect and thus, will not be greeted but certain surprises such as finding out that the other party is a goth when he/she prefers latino stuff. It will be quite a mismatch! So niche dating site like this eliminates mismatch possibilities of interests, culture and hobbies... it's still up to every individual to find his/her match. From the brief profile on the site, you can very much decide if this is whom you like to befriend. Personally, I've never joined any dating site but it's rather straightforward, I suppose.

Err... this is not a dating blog, I promise... it's just another dating site review :)

Do your toddlers get fussy?

I don't know what is going on but my little 3 year old (coming) is getting fussy and cranky these days. He will insist on what he wants and if you refuse, he will kick up a fuss. Well, it doesn't work on mama. I am a firm believer of not rewarding bad behaviour though it is hard to stay firm at times. When he kicks up a fuss, stamps his feet, rolls on the floor, I will look at him and walk away. Then when he realizes that his actions aren't getting my attention, he will stop - so it worked!

Somehow, DH isn't coping well with this behaviour. Mama is more patient and tolerates better. I wonder if most three year olds are like these. At this age, he's becoming more destructive too. Leave him alone and you get all sorts of awful and shocking surprises!

Do you toddlers act up like this? Anyone? Would love to hear some opinions.

Goth dating site now

Last Novemeber, we were in Perth for a vacation and I met up with my Uni professor and was invited to his home for a get together dinner when his son, Luke came to visit from England. Interestingly, that was my first encounter with a Goth... yes, Luke is a Goth and he is one cool one!

He showed us some of his Goth photos and honestly, I was a little scared and horrifed by the makeup and attire. Well, you wouldn't think I'm serious but there is a dedicated goth dating site, just like the bbw dating site I mentioned in my earlier post. This one is for gothic singles looking for like-minded friends who are in the goth movement. The thing is making friends on a niche site like this means they can share similar interests - music, fashion, ideas, preferences...etc. You must agree that gothics are easily accepted by some others. They are a group with special interests and likes. If you still don't know what gothic singles are or look like, go check out some of the photos on the site.

healing reactions continues

The healing reactions from my detox are getting a little comfortable. Fever comes and goes with a lot of catarrh elimination. Not the best time of my life but it is necessary to complete this detox process. Healing reactions should be seen as positive signs though it is hard to logically accept it since no one likes to get more ill during the detox process. Imagine feeling bored, controlled and then, fever and cough... well, somehow, I know it's doing me more good than harm and I just have to go on believing in how Mother Nature does its healing and repair work. And now, I lost my voice... so don't attempt calling me k?

Anyone due for a detox?

bbw dating site

What a cool idea. BBW dating site for BBW singles, plus sized women, chubby girls, oversized ladies seeking for friends online. Well, BBW stands for Big Beautiful woman or if you like, Big, Bold woman - lol. But seriously, this is one online dating site dedicated to help bbw singles find their handsome men or cool dudes. I find the header kinda cool with this smiley oversized lady with a sweet smile. At first, I didn't understand why are all the photos of the women are chubby in nature until I read further.

Sometimes, women of are bigger in size tend to have difficulties finding their dates and with this dedicated site, they don't have to feel uncomfortable and embarassed cos those searching on the site have come to know what to expect. Interesting.

4 year old girl killed

Why do these people have to do this to a little girl? My heart goes out to the family, esp the mother when I read this this morning. The headlines sent me with tears in my eyes... I wouldn't know how it felt last time but now that I'm a mum myself, I do. It is so painful and sad. She wouldn't think a few seconds of stepping away from the car could lead to the death of her own daughter. Imagine the remorse she is going through now.

Parents: do not leave your kids in the car even for a slight second. I treat this as a lesson for myself too. I used to leave Clayton in the car and run into the organic store to grab my vegetables and fruits - but not anymore... no more.

I hope that justice is served to the ones who caused the death of this girl.

09 July, 2007

A busy three year old

I'm getting annoyed with Clayton scratching DVDs and throwing them around the house like toys. And he thinks it is fun! Lately, I found out that some of his expensive Baby Einstein DVDs are scratched and damaged.

I was reading DVD Burning Software Reviews and found out that there are DVD copying software that allows me to do backups of movies and shows. Though it may be an investment at first, I can rest assured that with a playful boy at home, our DVDs can be well protected or backed up should he go rampage again!

Lucky Seven - Weekend stay in JW marriott

Everybody was talking about Lucky Seven on 7 July 2007... well, was yours lucky?

We were greeted with a surprise on that Lucky Seven saturday with a last minute notice that we needed to stay in JW Marriott for the weekends. I was supposed to be excited but when it was so last minute. Well, this was a 2 -nights stay in a Junior Suite voucher we had for a long time but DH just didn't want to schedule for it for a year - how usual of him.

Anyways, we decided not to waste the stay and headed to town for the weekend. Somehow, it wasn't the best thing to do as I was in the midst of my detox. So you could guess that I didn't enjoy it as much as I should - I could eat in the nice restaurants in The Feast, I needed to pack all my supplements, I could have my steamed potatoes and yogurt - I was hungry! And the bathtub was so small that I couldn't do a proper coffee enema.

So we stayed for a night and headed home the next day... staying in a hotel is nothing like home, I concluded, unless I'm on a vacation :)

Anyone got a Lucky Seven experience to share? Join in the carnival at Angela's and tell everyone about it!

used and new cars

Even selling used cars online is becoming popular these days. Talking about used cars remind me of my husband. He's one who prefer used cars over brand new though I managed to convince him to get a new one few years ago - lol. He always thinks that new cars face high depreciation so he rather lets someone else takes care of that.

Online used cars websites like the one in BuyYourCar is a one-stop place for buyers to find Used Cars of their choice. The websites offers good packages for dealers so that when they place listings on the website, they get individual listings, cars appear in dedicated pages, pages list by the brands, regional searches, cars searchable by users' local area.

The website is clean and simple, with pleasing soft colours, making it visually appealing and the home page shows the car listings in photos and brief descriptions including price, location, mileage, colour...etc. There are also buying advices for the general public and useful reviews on a wide range of cars. And if you like to sell your car, you can create your own advertisement directly with BuyYourCar for only £2.45 which includes a 2 week listing plus a photo. Creating your own car advertisement is only 5 minutes with the unique system. There is no cause of worry if you feel that you make a mistake with the ad cos the system allows you to make amendments too.

I forgot to mention that new cars are also available for search on the website too.

experiencing healing crises

I was experiencing healing crises on the weekends so that wasn't very exciting. This was all part of the detox process and healing crisis indicates the release of toxins from the body. It was not the best experience but was necessary for recovery. Healing crises could get worse with people with serious illnesses or on long term heavy medications. Yet, nothing should be done to suppress the elimination of toxins as this might hinder the detox process.

I'm onto my 5th day and this has been one of the best detox. Somehow, I am not tempted by yummy foods and the weekends was a breeze. I am worried that it is going to be hard at first cos weekends are the times we eat out and I look forward to it!

Anya Hindmarch - I am not a Plastic Bag! - Pt 2

On Friday, I wrote about how Anya Hindmarch "I am not a plastic bag" swept its KLCC outlet by storm. I promised to post the photos - thanks to ParisB, who went at 8am, hoping to buy one for her and (for me) - I longbang her lah. Well, she saw the Q and sent me an sms... that Q was crazy. Then what more, there was no guarantee that you could get the bag even if you queue for few hours lo...

Well, I checked straight at eBay and found a seller whose selling price for the bag was lesser than the rest ($80+), so out of curiosity, I bidded. Know what, after I did that, I scroll down the page and guess what I read?

Well, this seller was very misleading as his title did not specify that he was selling an online guide. He had intentionally put this statement only at the bottom. Well, thank God I was outbid! Or else, I would be so silly to buy an eBook on How to Buy Anya Hindmarch bag - who cares!

spread your business

Entrepreneurs and business owners are constantly thinking of creative ways to market their products and services and I am so glad that the internet technology gives alot of leverage when it comes to that. If you are a business owner who wants to think out of the box, try expanding your network online in social network and directories. Here is Merchant Circle, an online directory that allows you to create your business profile where you can add photos, promotions, articles and even blogs on your products and services.

But don't just stop there cos the Merchant Circle forum is a great place to mingle, exchange ideas, update yourself, discover new business opportunities and expand your business network. This is a brand new for business owners to communicate and stay in touch with each other. And what more, this is great for business people who do not have their own websites!

Detox Day Two

Weekend is around the corner... I wonder what everyone's plans would be. For me, it's one of those weekends I don't get to eat in my favourite restaurants cos this is a detox week for me. Maybe DH will be kind enough to eat in an organic restaurant with me where I can munch on green salad while both he and Clayton can enjoy some yummy organic fried rice and noodles.

It's the 2nd day and I'm feeling fine - at least no giddiness or headaches except for an itchy throat. Well, just in case you are wondering what do I eat during this detox time - it's plain homemade yogurt with my favourite mango (thank God!), potato/carrot soup and steamed broccoli without any seasonings, of course. How does that sound to you?

Jamie reads well

I always wonder why Ming can read so well at a young age of 6. So out of curiosity, I have a chance to catch up with Ming's mum during one of the mommies' gathering. Just as I expected, Ming has been exposed to fun and interactive learning program with reading tutors at Score educational centers. What impresses me is her strong comprehension skills and wide vocabulary at that young age. She carries out a conversation confidently and skilfully with her use of words and language. I guess I don't have to start looking when the time comes.

Anya Hindmarch - I am not a Plastic Bag!

Well, this is the cheapest designer bag and it's sweeping the fashion scene like crazy! Retailing only at $10 at first, it's now $15 but ebay sellers are earning quick bucks by selling it at more than 10x the price!

This bag is officially launched in Malaysia today. At 8am in the morning, there was already couple of hundred people queuing to purchase this limited edition bag. Why not for RM50-RM60? Many of these people are not the fashion conscious nor are they so ardent about saving the environment - they are in business!! Watch out for the photo of the crowd.

Early learner program

I have heard this term, innovative tutor, being used among parents with growing children but only recently have understood what it really meant. After checking out the Score learning programs, I am impressed with the style of teaching and fun learning environment created by the tutors for the young children. I believe the pre kindergarten early learning will excite Clayton when he turns 4. Being an active boy, he will appreciate interactive and independent learning and Score Early Learner Program has it all.

Jesus heals

I wrote about what happened to me past few days in my home office women blog. It was scary, worrying, depressing and tiring. I dragged myself up the stairs. I felt like I was 10 years older. I wasn't moving around like normal. Even carrying Clayton made me breathless. Tell you, I was so scared.

I finally sought the Lord and spilled the beans to Him. I surrendered this wheezing, night cough, rhinitis and physical weakness. I had never felt so sick in the last many years, not to a point where climbing up a flight of stairs was a chore. I couldn't even had enough energy to shout at my little boy and he had been quite a handful lately too.

This morning, I woke up feeling different. Something happened. I wasn't wheezing like the last two days. I knew He touched me. I don't care what you are thinking, but if you know how I was like the last few days, you will agree with me that something divine has happened.

God is healing me.... He touched me.

in love with Melbourne city

Of all the Australian cities, the ones that left me much memories are Perth and Melbourne. Perth - because I studied there and Melbourne - the first Australian city I visited in 1994. Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city with diverse cultures, characteristics, sights and attractions. I have been there 5-6 times and never get sick of this beautiful city. The only problem I have is the extreme weathers within a day. Basically, one can experience 4 seasons in a day so you do need to be prepared for both extremes.

I love strolling along St Kilda's beach and its row of lifestyle shops, restaurants, unique retail stores and most of all, enjoying fish and chips by the beach. The Sunday flea market is one of my favourite with lots of local handmade stuff from soaps to paintings to recycled items.

The Queen Victoria market is the most popular tourists' hangout though I must prefer the fresh food section than the souvenir sheds. Whatever it is, just don't miss out on the Bratwurst Sandwich shop when you are there - you won't miss it cos it's one of those shops that has a long queue!

Finding cheap Melbourne hotels is a piece of cake once you do your research. There are lots of Melbourne accommodation ranging from 2 - 5 stars, and you need to decide on your budget and preference before doing your search. My recommendation for anyone who hasn't been to Melbourne is to find Melbourne hotels that are situated in the city. That way, you can move about by foot and tram as self-driving in the city is expensive and congested. With all the malls, retail stores and dining restaurants in the city, moving around in Melbourne is so convenient and easy. When it comes to shopping in Melbourne, you are spoilt for choices - David Jones, RM Williams, Laura Ashley, Country Road, Sportsgirl, Canterbury... you better go prepared with some extra credit in your credit cards!

On to the Carribean

The other day, I cut out an article on Caribbean vacation and pasted it on my home office wall. DH was staring at the article and photos and he knew I was fantasizing again. Well, I pasted that in front of me to remind myself to work towards a vacation like this. Sail in a Carribean cruise, dine in nice casual restaurants and be swept away by the tranquility of ocean waves. But the thing is the Carribean isn't just about the pristine waters, nature in the Caribbean includes volcanic peaks to deep valleys, wildlife, exotic flowers and unique plants, natural springs, rainforests, and even deserts.

I see this in Discovery Channel all the time and this is one place I must visit. The relaxing ambience and turquoise blue waters of the Carribean islands is known to all travelers in the world. No one likes to give this place a miss if given the chance to. I was surfing the internet the other day and came across some luxury accommodations and cruises in the Carribean and was enchanted, mesmerized and 'sold'! With more than 30 major islands to choose from, you can't run out of things to enchant you in the Carribean.

Anyone been or dreaming for a holiday like this too?

I can tell you enough how important it is to get a good life insurance plan. I am insured since I first begun my first job and that was a good decision. ranting, ranting

I'm ranting... I'm ranting.. I ranting...

You guys know I seldom do that but today, I'm ranting. Sometimes I get annoyed with these "chou kui lao"... they can be 'LS' once they are a little more well known. Amy told me about it but I couldn't confirm it but now I do! Anyways, if you don't know hanyu pinyin, then you won't know what am I talking about... somehow, kuilaos just have a way to cover for themselves. Arggrhh...

kiddie rides

Ever wonder why these musical car rides can excite, delight and amuse a child? The people who install these kiddie rides or car rides in the mall must have proven statistics to prove that these rides do make them good money!

I only started allowing these little treats when Clayton turned two as we did not want him to go overly zealous about it. He's been very good though... he would be happy with just one or two and that's it. Seeing those smiles on his face is definitely worth a buck!

holiday in Spain

I have never traveled to Europe but one of the places I will visit in my future UK vacations will have to include Spain. All my girlfriend who had been there wouldn't stopped talking about the shopping scene in Spain, not to mention it is home to my favourite shoes - Camper! You bet I will be bringing few pairs home when I get there!

Before I get labelled for being a shopping freak, I believe Spain has alot more to offer in terms of culture, dining (tapas and paella - yummy!) and architecture. From what I gather, most tourists will base themselves in Madrid or Barcelona. Finding a hotel accommodation in Barcelona won't be a hard one if you pick the right online booking site. At cheaperthanhotels, not only do you get to browse from 1 star - 5 star hotel accommodations but there is a quick overview guide suggesting the best Barcelona hotels according to your budget and preference.

Besides, you can check the Barcelona hotels on hot deals or alternatively, there are last minute rates (up to 21 days) available or year round discounted rates. This is definitely a great site I will use when I plan for my vacation to Spain. And if you are planning to head that way, check out the attractive accommodation rates on the site.

fun in class

I have been hearing discussions among the mommies group on Score learning centers. I can't help but eavedrop for my future reference since Clayton will be 4 next year. They were talking about how their children had so much fun with their math tutors and that truly impressed me. I recalled not liking math so much when I was younger cos the teachers made the subject so boring. But apparently, Score is different. They encourage a positive and cheerful learning environment so that the students will appreciate the lessons. This is one place I must enrol my boy when the time comes.

thank you, Adam!

This is a delayed post that I have been wanting to make to thank my blogging buddy, Adam, for awarding me with the Nitro T-shirt following from a contest at his Auto blog. Somehow, the sponsor had forgotten to send me the T-shirt even after some emails from Adam.

I told Adam not to worry about it but being a man of his word, he insisted in sending me one from his own collection. In the midst of getting his gift to me, the sponsor finally replied so I ended up with 2 T-shirts! Thanks, Adam - you are cool!

options trading

In the last few years, DH has been very consistent in honing his skills in options trading. From what I understand, this is not an easy skill to master. It requires practice, reading, learning, researching and careful analysis to succeed as a profitable options trader.

I should tell DH about Power Options, a website that provides comprehensive help and resources to help anyone with a keen interest in options trading. Apparently, Power Options has a unique patented technology known as SmartSearchXL®, that helps traders to maximize their earnings. Since the website is offering a 14 day trial, I bet DH will be most interested to try out the online technology while analyzing the support and data available.

under the weather

I'm feeling under the weather today. Had a disturbed sleep due to an asthma attack last night which made it almost impossible to lie down and sleep. I was having shortness of breath and couldn't do my breathing exercises properly today. Climbing up the stairs seems a chore today. I caught a nap for an hour when Clayton went to school, that was needed.

This breathlessness isn't funny. I'm contemplating on a full detox program while continuing my breathing exercise with Buteyko method. I can't help but feel down, coping with ill health, balancing between work and motherhood. Somehow, the burdens are heavy.

high end help for alcoholics

I almost thought that this is a luxury bed and breakfast propertyin LA, california but it is not. After spending some time touring the property and checking out the site, I found out that this is a high end and exclusive recovery center for drug and Alcohol Rehabs. It seems like a nice place to recover and overcome the pain and challenges of alcoholism as most of the time, there are emotional and mental issues to be dealt with other than the physical.

From a tour of the property, Drug Rehab Sunset Malibu seems an ideal center to seek guidance, counselling and recovery. Utilizing both traditional and natural treatment methods, the experienced staff team goes an extra mile to help these patients understand alcoholism, provide the important education about alcohol treatment while guiding them in the recovery process. Often times, many will face difficulties during the treatment process but with the help of guided practitioners and a conducive environment to recover, a sober living can be ensured.

The articles in the website provide me a better insight about alcoholism, that it can happen to anybody and that it is a clinical disease and disorder with physical and psychological influence. Perhaps it's time we need to take this problem seriously and not accept it as just a social disorder.

Indian accommodation site

Mention India and what do you think of? For me, it would be nothing but Taj Mahal, the awesome monument that sits so elegantly and beautifully in Agra, India. I'm doing a review for an online hotel booking site for Inasra, who specializes in cheap Indian hotels. Here is my honest reviews for the site:

I have used many online sites so I expect to see more on the home page of Isasra. From the first look, the home page looks incomplete and need a little more content or 'dressing up'. The nice animated icon showing various highlights should be larger as it is the only focal point of the site. Visitors tend to be attracted by photos. Infact when you click on the little icon, it takes you to another page featuring different category search with little photos accompanied.

When I click on 'hotels', I am greeted by a directory list - which is a good feature but it can perhaps include some photos or colours to make the page look more enticing or attractive.

On the overall, I believe this is a useful site for anyone looking for accommodation and information on India - leisure or business. The site needs some improvement in terms of overall layout and the best thing to do is to take a look at some top travel sites for reference. Including a 'search' button will be a good feature to add too.

termites

Lately, I notice that there have been quite a number of termite control ads in the local newspapers. Though we are blessed with no termite problems in our house and around the area, I have heard scary stories about how these colonies of little creatures can tear the whole house down!

If you are having problems with termites, you may find this termite preventionweb site useful. It contains resources, detailed information on how to control and deal with termite problems and recommend and review the various products that may help with the problems.

Are you infected with Blogivitis??

There is a new virus in the blogosphere! Well, be careful cos I'm quite certain many of you are already infected. But don't worry, this virus may not kill you but actually, if you don't do something about, it might cause some health hazards! One of my blogging buddies, ParisBeaverbanks, was infected and thanks to her, she passed the Blogivitis to me in the name of friendship.

Well, check now to see if you have these 10 symptoms of Blogivitis or similar... I identified mine:
  1. I turn out the computer the minute I'm awake, checking my emails and logging on to a few paid networks.
  2. I am thinking of getting a smaller laptop for travel purpose as I don't want to be concerned over looking for internet cafes.
  3. I feel very irritated and uneasy when the internet line is not working or face any disruptions. I will call TM Net to lodge a complaint and get irritated with their inefficiency.
  4. I'm guilty of this: I prefer to blog than do some of the design work I'm asked to do.
  5. I start carrying my digital camera wherever I go so that I can take interesting photos for memories as well as for blogging.
  6. I make it a point to update my blogs everyday.
  7. Whenever I get into a conversation with a friend, I will ask if they have a blog.
  8. I keep telling my good friends to start a blog though they keep giving all sorts of excuses.
  9. I spend time surfing and digging for newsworthy material and products for my blogs.
  10. If I don't blog walk and visit some of my regular blogs for a few days, I start to miss them and find myself catching up with their postings.
Hmm.. I wonder who is like me, I know there are lots - lol. I'm curious if this virus is already infecting these others or else I'm spreading it anyhow:

The features allow you to calculate your BMI, calorie intake, weight loss and gain values and your total energy used. Steamboat adventure

I almost forgot about this dinner we had 2 weeks ago. DH and myself were in a food dilemma again but ended up in Eric Tsang's food haven in Sri Hartamas SC. Even after we were sitted for a while, we weren't sure what to ear - sigh.......... anyone had that experience?

Finally, we decided to give ourselves a treat and order a steamboat. The steamboat there wasn't cheap. It was one of those quality ones that cost nearly RM100 for two persons (set for two). My dh was adventurous. He had seen the Ma La steamboat in Discovery Channel: Travel and Living from one of the china's features so he decided he would try.

Well, he enjoyed it not more than 10 minutes cos within that short time, his mouth was burning! LOL. I was glad that I didn't bother trying, I wasn't a fan of spicy stuff anyways... I warned him to be careful cos his 'poo poo' would burn the next day. Well, what did you think he felt during his 'poo poo' sessions the next day? LOL.

new or used?

Before we purchase our present car few years ago, I had a long conflict with my hubby on the issue of new cars or used cars. DH is one person who prefers used cars as the depreciation of new cars in this part of the world can be considerably high, especially with imported or premium cars.

I know my hubby will be very pleased to hear about chicago public auto auctions where different types of used cars are auctioned including luxury cars, foreign cars, domestic cars, cheap cars, trucks and SUVs. A good feature of this site allows potential buyers to view the cars on auction before the auction days, read more details and even ask questions via the live chat. Depending on your budget and preference, cheap used cars start at a low $200.

Did I mention that the auctions are taking place in Chicago? So you live in or near the region, you may like to pop by to check out the chicago car auction on this coming 14 and 28 July. And if you are really thinking of buying a used car, it's best to visit the site to view the auction cars first.

online educational website

All parents are concerned over their kids' education and would search the best programs to excite, motivate and stimulate them. With most things going online these days, education is no exception. Pokemon Learning League is one new educational site which targets children from 8 -12 with topics including Math, Sciencem, Language arts and life skills. The flexibility of online program enables children to pick their topics and learn them in their own time. With the guidance of parents, especially SAHM and WAHM, these children can excel and learn with the involvements of parents, which is a great way to bond too.
